Monday 7th October

Loch Leven Health Centre will be closed on Monday 7th October for everything other than pre-booked flu, pnemovax and shingles appointments.

The NHS Fife Out of Hours Service will be providing cover for medical emergencies which cannot wait until the Health Centre re-opens.  To contact the service please dial 111.

When We Are Closed

out of hoursNHS Tayside has commissioned the Fife Primary Care Emergency Service in conjunction with NHS 24 to deal with any emergencies which occur out of hours.

If you need a doctor for an emergency which occurs in the evening or at a weekend, ring 111 and your call will be diverted to a Call Handler at NHS 24.  Your call will be assessed and you will either be given advice on the phone, directed to a Primary Care Emergency Centre, advised to go straight to a hospital, or arrangements will be made for a doctor to call.

Details of your contact with out of hours services will be sent to the Health Centre before it opens the next working day.

Further information is available in our leaflet entitled ‘The Out of Hours Co-operative and NHS 24’ and from NHS 24 on 111 or via their Website:

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
