Monday 7th October

Loch Leven Health Centre will be closed on Monday 7th October for everything other than pre-booked flu, pnemovax and shingles appointments.

The NHS Fife Out of Hours Service will be providing cover for medical emergencies which cannot wait until the Health Centre re-opens.  To contact the service please dial 111.

Hospital Prescriptions

Pateints leaving hospital may be given a prescription for medication.  If it is necessary to start taking the medication immediately, instructions will be given by the hospital to go to the hospital pharmacy and collect the medication.

However, in many situations, is will not be necessary to start taking the medication straight away and the hospitals will give the prescription to the patient and ask them to take it to their GP practice.  Hospitals know that it will take a few days for such requests for medication to be processed by the GP practices and community pharmacies.

Prescriptions generated by hospitals should be delivered to the Health Centre.

Please allow two working days for the prescription to be processed.
