Nurses

There are 6 Practice Nurses and 3 Health Care Assistants at the Health Centre.  Our two senior nurses are nurse prescribers.

The nurses provide a range of services available by appointment. In addition they have training in asthma care, diabetes care, coronary heart disease prevention, well women (including smear taking and breast awareness), antenatal care, family planning and smoking cessation. One of our nurses is also specially trained to give travel advice. They will also provide help and advice on a wide range of health issues and problems. Daily clinics are run by the Health Care Assistants to take blood for tests, carry out new patient medicals and monitor patients with hypertension.
