The Prescriptions Manager is available from 8.00am - 2:00pm each day.
We also have two pharmacists who can provide help and advice about your medication.
They can be contacted on 01577 862112.
Many patients are on the same medication for considerable periods of time. The medication can generally be issued without seeing a doctor. However, if you require an appointment for repeat medication please make this well in advance of your existing supply running out.
There are various ways of ordering repeat medication and this depends on whether or not you are registered with one of the local pharmacies.
Please leave a minimum of 2 working days to process your prescription and be aware that it may take another 5 days until ready at the pharmacy.
Rowlands will give you the right hand side of your prescription when you collect your medication. You may use this to re-order the prescription by ticking the items you require and delivering the form to Rowlands or to the Health Centre.
When the prescription is prepared, it will be sent to Rowlands where you can collect your medication.
Rowlands do not accept requests for repeat medication over the telephone.
Davidsons will give you the right hand side of your prescription when you collect your medication. You may use to re-order the prescription by ticking the items you require and delivering the form to Davidsons or to the Health Centre.
When the prescription is prepared, it will be sent to Davidsons where you can collect your medication.
Davidsons do not accept requests for repeat medication over the telephone.
You can order repeat medication at on-line prescription ordering service.
Sometimes the doctor may not wish to put your medication on repeat but may be willing to re-issue it once or twice without seeing you. These are called Special Requests.
These can be made through the local pharmacies who will relay the request to the Health Centre and the prescription can be collected from the pharmacy.
Please allow at least 2 working days for processing.
Pateints leaving hospital may be given a prescription for medication. If it is necessary to start taking the medication immediately, instructions will be given by the hospital to go to the hospital pharmacy and collect the medication.
However, in many situations, is will not be necessary to start taking the medication straight away and hospitals will give the prescription to the patient to take it to their GP practice. Such prescriptions hospitals should be delivered to the Health Centre.
